Exhibit Your Environmental EdgeCathy Day
Express your environmeal edge by researching a local or international environmental issue, then use what you've learned though your art to tell the story. Consider using recyled or post consumer products in your works. Though this is the broad theme, all types of fine visual art exhibits are welcome. ArtWalk organizers will be partnering with Ventura Charter school to coordinate Earth Day exhibits on the beach and a beach clean up on Saturday morning. Have other ideas about environmental art installations outside a traditional exhibit? Please call 805-658-4760 to discuss.

Here are a few websites to get your ideas flowing:

New Online Registration
To streamline registration and as part of a citywide effort to be greener, only online applications and payment will be taken this year.

The different ticket types:
Eventbright functions in terms of tickets. ArtWalk is not a ticketed event, just think of a ticket as a registration.  Artists and merchants should fill out separate registrations.

Merchant Ticket (Sat. & Sun.)
One merchant ticket must be purchased for every artwalk exhibit inside a merchant venue.
The registration fee is $125 and must be paid by the merchant.  If you are looking for additional artists please indicate so in the "need artist" question. Merchants may require artists to pay a portion of the registration cost.

Artist (showing with a merchant) Ticket (Sat. & Sun)
Each artist should fill out an application separately.  If you are looking for a venue, select "looking for a venue" in the application or include your merchant host's name. Staff will contact you to offer a match option,  though we can not guarantee that an appropriate match will be available.
The merchant may require artists to pay a portion of the $125 fee.

Beach (Booth) Exhibits (Sat. only)
This is a special exhibit as
as part of Earth Day Eco Festival. This Earth Day/ArtWalk exhibit takes place on Saturday only from 10 am - 5 pm. ArtWalk organizers are seeking environmental art exhibits to be set up in booths along the promenade between California Street Promenade and Promenade Park. For additional information on this event check out www.venturacharterschool.org/earthday

Exhibit times:           10am –5 pm
Set up times
7:30am-10 am             Booth Inspection 9:15 am
Break Down
            5am -6 pm
Booth Size
: No larger than a standard 10 x10 tent.
Booth Requirements
: Exhibitors are required to provide their own tables, chairs, booth and canopy. Canopies must be weighted down with sand or weights. You will be asked to leave if you do not have a weighting system. It is very windy in this area and non-weighted down items are dangerous.
Certificate of Insurance:
All booth exhibitors must provide proof of liability insurance for at least $1,000,000 naming the City of Ventura as certificate holder and additionally insured. This is easier than it sounds. If you already carry insurance for your business or non-profit, simply call your insurance agent and ask them to issue you a certificate of insurance naming The City of Ventura as additionally insured. If you do not carry insurance, an extra $25 registration processing fee and liability waiver is required. Fax insurance documents to: 805-648-1030.

Registration Assistance
A registration assistance training will be held from 4-7 pm on Wednesday, February 10th in City Hall  to train anyone who needs additional assistance with this internet based program. Bring all your application info and we will show you how to enter it in this training. Email relander@ci.ventura.ca.us to RSVP.
